March/2010 Spring School in Pisa

Christian Morbidoni is going to present SwickyNotes? and the MUruca project at the Open Scholarly Communities on the Web: Theory and Practice (cache)
in Pisa (Italy), 22-26 March 2010 University of Pisa

February/2010 SWickyNotes is out.

SWickyNotes, the evolution of Philospace (developed in Discovery project) is now available at http://dbin.org/swickynotes/philospace/downloads.php.


__Jenuary/2010 Muruca is hatching!

SeMedia? joins NET7 and other partners in Muruca. The project revolves around the idea of providing a open-source software suite to enable easy start-up of Semantic oriented Digital Libraries.


__Dec/2009 Discovery succeeds!

The EU e-content-plus Discovery went trough its final review and collected excellent reviews from the commission.
Discovery (http://discovery-project.eu/ (cache)) started in 2006 and produces a set of technologies for managing Digital Libraries in the context of Philology and Humanities in general.
SeMedia? has been leading the development of Philospace (http://dbin.org/swickynotes/philospace/ (cache)) a Semantic Web based annotation tool for online libraries.


Jul/2007 Semedia @ ISWC 2007

Semedia (UnivPM) has a research paper accepted at the International Semantic Web Conference 2007. ("RDFSync: efficient remote synchronization of RDF models" by G. Tummarello, C.Morbidoni, R. Bachmann Gmur, O. Erling).

Dec/2006 SWAP 2006, success and prise!

This year the Semantic Web Applications and Perspective Workshop has been held in beautiful Pisa.

9/Nov/2006 - DBin awarded 3rd prize @ SW Challenge 2006!

DBin was awarded 3d prize at the prestigious Semantic Web Challenge held in conjunction with the International Semantic Web conference 2006 (Athens, GA). See the official site here (cache)!

1/Sep/2006 - The Discovery project is about to start!

The EU funded Discovery EContentPlus project (cache), based on Semantic Web and Multimedia technologies including DBin, will officially start on November 1.

1/Aug/2006 - DBin is finalist in the Semantic Web Challenge 2006

DBin is finalist at the 2006 edition of the Semantic Web Challenge. Announcement of the final placement will be made at the International Semantic Web Conference in Athens, GA (USA).

23/Jun/2006 - Ph.D positions available @ SEMEDIA

Version 0.45 offers a good stability and comes bundled with an environment (Brainlet) configured to browse and interact with the data from the European Semantic Web conference held in Budva
